Yeah, my server disappears then reappears. I don't understand it yet. But, you seem to be having my OLD problem. I could ONLY see DBZ Clan and [Q] servers.
Here is the deal.
ZEQ2 runs on two different servers. [
www.quake3arena.com] [master.ioquake3.org]
The servers you are seeing, are part of
www.quake3arena.com, and two things can be the cause:
The master patch allows you to see servers from BOTH site locations by changing your settings. However, in some cases, the
router prevents the server from connecting to [master.ioquake3.org], even if you have the master patch. I had this SAME problem.
If you HAVE the "master patch", and STILL can't connect after turning off your
firewall You need a NEW router, a different brand than the router you are currently using. For whatever reason, the router itself is blocking you from access to the [master.ioquake3.org] IP address-- and nothing can be done, but get a new router that does not block it.
I spent 1hr on the phone with Time Warner Cable figuring out WHY I couldn't connect to [ master.ioquake3.org] , after even being able to connect for so long. They told me, the router started blocking that IP along with a bunch of other tech jargon that explained the reasons why it did ( which I do not understand ).
So, here is a summary of what you need to do:
[1] Turn off firewall.
[2] Download the "master patch".
[3] Before connecting to a server, type "sv_master1 master.ioquake.org" ( you don't need quotes )
[4] Get a new router ( LAST RESORT , BUT MOST LIKELY THE PROBLEM )
I had to get a new router btw. Good luck!
P.S: In the mean time. Type "sv_master1
www.quake3arena.com". At least you will be able to play the game on the basic Rev 1536 on here.
